why do we have to wait for the next ten years for FDA to improve, why not now, what are we paying our taxes for, this mismanagement by the government, FDA is receiving good fundings but still they are unable to cope with food borne illness cases.

Worse than Big Giovernment, the Leafy Greens Initiative is written and backed by the Leafy Greens Marketiong Association, representing ALL of the big growers and marketers of leafy greens (there are only a handful controlling most of the production).
Their intent is threefold: 1 To give the appearance of enhancing food safety. 2 To give a marketing edge to their member/supporters. 3 To make it difficult for small growers to compete or even legally sell their product.
Big Government is only rubber-stamping this fiasco! Small growers who are harvesting their product by hand are not the source of any of these contaminations.
