Non Toxic Cleaner

July 16th, 2007 - KK.Billingsley

Ready to rid your home of toxic chemicals? All you need is water, distilled white vinegar, and pure essential oils. Vinegar kills 99% of bacteria, 82% of molds, and 80% of viruses.

Combine 2 parts water to 1 part vinegar, then a few drops of pure essential oil and you’ve got yourself a great all purpose cleaner. I like to use tea tree, lemon, basil or eucalyptus because of their disinfecting, anti-viral and anti-fungal qualities. Plus, it leaves my house smelling great and me feeling energized. This is easy to make, cheap, and best of all, free of toxic chemicals.

  1. Another use for Vinegar

Just plain vinegar applied with a spray bottle can kill many common leafy weeds. Try to get a high percent acidity. If it is around 5 percent acidity you may have to do a few times. Be careful that you do not spray your good flowers.
