The eating and smoking habits discussed by Jeff and others point to people whose don't need others to drown them, they're doing it themselves. What's crazy is the cost to the rest of society, of needing to take care of the terrible problems created by someone smoking for many years, or developing the diabetic, heart and other problems that the American diet leads to.
