The EWG's methodology of counting pesticides is not particularly helpful since different pesticides differ by orders of magnitude in terms of toxicity etc. It also does nothing to consider whether the pesticide is even applied to the final harvested crop or how long before it is harvested. It is really an extremely "lazy" analysis for a group that has the word "work" in its name. I've done an analysis of the pesticides that are actually used on Celery in California. I would be interested in your reaction to this analysis. I'd be particularly interested in your views on "heavy metal" Organic pesticides containing copper.
