Your closing paragraph is fabulous. I, too, am regarded as a flake. I'm just doing the 7-day raw food detox with the Raw Divas.
While I've been a whole foods, nothing processed, person, primarily vegetarian, I realized that over the years, I had slid from eating at least 70% raw food to perhaps only 25 - 40%. Reading raw food blogs has propelled me to 'straighten up and fly right'. I'm 68 and healthy...no ailments; no meds. I plan to stay that way and the best way is to eat right, exercise and think positive thoughts.
The raw route makes the most sense. Especially after reading The 100 Year Lie...a must read for any concerned American.
