Recycled, Bamboo Computers!

October 30th, 2008 - Gerald "Gerry" Pugliese

Dell has gone GREEN-TASTIC lately! That right there is a mini-computer. Costing between $500 and $700, it uses 70% less power and is made from recycled milk jugs and detergent cases and encased in bamboo. Yeah, I want one too!

Wait, it gets better. Dell also plans to roll out new OptiPlex 960 computers made with at least 10% recycled plastic. The OptiPlex is 88% MORE energy efficient than previous desktops and will utilize reduced and recycled packaging.
