It is really amazing how many products have triclosan in them. I wonder how long it has been in and why? The article notes that triclosan has been banned in the European Union along with hundreds of other chemicals that are still in use in the USA. Who is looking out for the interest of the consumer?

This is great news. When proper hand washing removes 98% of germs & triclosan removes 99%, there is really no reason for putting this synthetic chemical on your skin…or the skin of your kids.

I am very pleased someone has stood up about this issue – hopefully will come of it. He has my support.

But since the federal government still allows food colourings to be used and other banned chemicals I think it’s a hard road to travel.
