Ask your doctor if fruits and vegetables are right for you? Yes, says a new program called Fruit and Vegetable Rx launched by the non-profit Wholesome Wave that provides "prescriptions" for fresh fruits and vegetables available at local area farmers markets.

Major funding from Kaiser Permanente—the integrated managed care consortium with nearly 9 million members—will enable the nonprofit Wholesome Wave to expand its double coupon incentive programs in as many as 30 farmers markets nationwide.
