Salon conditioners can contain harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, sodium laureth sulphate, pthalates and parabens. But there's no need to coat your head in chemicals when the do-it-yourself versions are so cheap and easy. Deep Conditioning TreatmentThis treatment works well for thick, coarse hair and normal hair. Ingredients: Method: Coconut Oil Hair TreatmentUsing coconut oil as a hair conditioner works well for all hair types, including fine hair and people with oily scalps. Slather extra virgin coconut oil on ends of hair, being careful to avoid the roots if you have oily hair. You can either leave this in overnight or wrap with a warm towel or put under a shower cap for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse out and wash hair as normal.
