Indulge in a homemade pecan pie this Thanksgiving season that's easy as... well, pie. Just mix, pour, and bake with this no-hassle recipe for bourbon-spiked pecan pie. It's all-natural for a delicious--and wholesome--holiday dessert. Enjoy! Makes 1 pie Cook time: 45 minutes Ingredients 3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup toasted halved pecans
1 cup dark maple syrup
½ cup molasses
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons white whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon brandy, cognac, or apple juice
Method Preheat oven to 400°F. Place pie shell in pie pan on a baking sheet. Combine remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl; stir well to combine. Pour filling into prepared pie shell. Bake until crust is golden and pie has puffed slightly, about 40 to 45 minutes. Remove pie from oven; cool on a wire rack until set. Serve warm with whipped cream of choice. Image: profpalate |
