How P!nk is Getting in Shape After Her Second Pregnancy (Hint: She Starts By Loving Herself)

If there’s anyone we should all look up to when it comes to body image goals (or ALL goals, really), it’s musician P!nk. For a woman under the public eye 24/7 — and for the past 17 years, no less — as well as a new record that debuted with the most first-week album sales by a female artist in 2017, she sure keeps a level head on her shoulders, especially when it comes to getting in shape after her son was born late last year. P!nk’s philosophy: #slowandsteadywinstherace and #strongismygoal.

The 5’3’’ superstar and husband Carey Hart have a six-year old daughter Willow, and they just welcomed baby boy Jameson Moon to the world last December. Since then, P!nk hasn’t be shy of the public eye, and she makes it known that she isn’t on the lose-weight-quick-post-giving-birth train that so many other celebrity moms seem to be riding. Instead, she exercises regularly with celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins and takes her time to reach her goal, inspiring us all along the way to keep a similarly sane and self-loving approach to our own fitness goals.

P!nk Loves How she FEELS

P!nk recently posted to Instagram, “Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3″? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese. I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies! #feelingmyself #strongismygoal #bodygoals @msjeanettejenkins #happysaturday #getitin #GIJaneismyWCW”. Preach!

P!nk Mixes it Up

P!nk’s trainer Jeanette Jenkins revealed to People more about P!nk’s post-baby workout regimen, which is defined by numerous methods of training, including sculpting, rowing, boxing, dance, yoga, Pilates, power walking, jogging, running, and cycling. Jeanette trains P!nk to target the pelvis wall, transverse abdominus, and all the muscles of the core, which are particularly important after childbirth.

P!nk’s Getting in Shape for a Cause

P!nk clearly keeps her exercise routine exciting, so much so that she even pairs her fitness training with good causes! In May of this year, Pink joined the Chef Cycle bicycle race to raise money for No Kid Hungry, a non-profit committed to ending childhood hunger. She and her husband took part in 100 miles of the 300-mile race and ultimately raised $78,291.

We could all learn a little bit from P!nk when it comes to keeping our body goals, especially post-baby, realistic. Mix it up, aim for strong, and be kind to yourself (and others) in the process!
