Reality star Kim Kardashian has a lot on the go. From running a business (empire) to running after three small children, she has a lot on her plate. Which probably explains why she gets up early to squeeze in her workouts. How early? Like, before the sun rises. That kind of early.
“Her schedule is crazy, and mine is also crazy, so we work out really early in the morning at 6am,” Kardashian’s trainer Melissa Alcantara told Women’s Health.
The pair works out six days a week for 90 minutes (and apparently longer if focusing on Kardashian’s lower body) at the same time.

A study done by researchers from Brigham Young University found that people who work out in the morning end up being more active in general, which means you’ll be moving — a.k.a. torching calories all day — if you wake up for that early morning workout.

If you have trouble sleeping at night, working out in the morning could help you catch some zzz’s.
By exercising in the morning, especially while outdoors, helps to improve sleep rhythms and signals to your body to produce the hormone melatonin earlier.
“Exercising in the morning daylight helps you to sleep. It helps to kick-start the brain in the same way as when you expose yourself to bright light early in the morning, and it makes the body release melatonin earlier in the evening,” Dr. Sofie Laage-Christiansen, who holds a Ph.D. in sleep research, told ScienceNordic, which helps you to sleep better at night.
Getting up super early in the morning to exercise doesn’t sound like everyone’s cup of tea — or coffee — but if you’re looking for a way to consistently fit in your workouts, burn more calories, and sleep better at night, then you might want to take a page from Kardashian’s book and reach for your sneakers when your alarm goes off instead of the snooze button.
