This Season's Favorite Kitchen Tool: The Ice Cream Maker PDF Print E-mail
Written by Laura Klein

When making ice cream, frozen yogurt or gelato with any ice cream maker, after you have made your custard on the stove top, be sure to cool it for at least three hours to overnight before churning it in the ice cream maker or bowl. Additionally be sure the freezer bowl is completely frozen before making the ice cream. The ice cream will then come out with a smooth, fluffy, delicate consistency.

My favorite ice cream to make is fresh organic chocolate mint ice cream. All of the ingredients I use are organic which results in a superior end product. The best kept secret about making ice cream, it's easy as long as you have the right tools such as a fabulousb ice cream maker.
