Just in time for the summer grilling season, Organic Prairie has expanded its fresh hot dog line to include two new varieties: turkey and chicken. The company now offers all of America’s traditional favorites: turkey, beef, chicken and classic (beef and pork) organic hot dogs.
Eight hot dogs (1.5 oz. each) are sealed in a 12-oz. package, whose new label depicts a traditional family farm—much like the 100 farms where the cooperative’s livestock is carefully raised.
“The family farmers of the Organic Prairie cooperative raise their livestock with integrity and concern for animal welfare, resulting in a very high-quality product,” says Tedd Heilmann, general manager. “Organic Prairie delivers the traditional hot dog flavor Americans want, whether they’re at the ballpark or at a barbecue in their own backyard.”
No fillers are added. The hot dogs are made using an “old world” sausage process that gives them flavor and bite, Heilmann says.
Organic Prairie is the meat brand from America’s largest cooperative of organic family farmers, Organic Valley Family of Farms. The co-op began selling organic meats in 1996. The company’s goal is to provide families with healthful, wholesome meat raised in accordance with organic principles and practices: respecting the dignity and interdependence of human, animal, plant, soil and global life.
You can find Organic Prairie’s products at leading supermarkets, natural and organic food stores, cooperative groceries and restaurants.
