Cable network Planet Green is celebrating the 39th anniversary of Earth Day tomorrow night with two new episodes of Wa$ted!, hosted by actress/writer Annabelle Gurwitch (right) and green handyman Holter Graham.
Each week, Gurwitch and Graham transform household eco-horrors into energy-efficient havens. The show’s goal: to prove homeowners needn’t be extreme to go green. Best of all, most of the modifications help homeowners save money.
Gurwitch and Graham focus on waste, energy, water and transportation consumption when visiting dwellers, ranging from typical nuclear families to college fraternities. Each household is given three weeks to reduce its energy consumption and receives cash prizes for every dollar saved.
The two world-premiere episodes are: “Green Preservation” (young couple using toxic chemicals to restore a vintage home; 9 p.m. ET/PT) and “Sisterhood of Wa$te” (eco-challenged sorority house; 9:30 p.m. ET/PT).
Tune in to match your organic eco-smarts against Gurwitch and Graham!
