This 4th of July, make this easy white chocolate dipped strawberry dessert for something elegant that requires zero baking. There's nothing worse than sitting in a hot kitchen during the summer months while you wait for a cake or pie to bake, so avoid your oven all together with this recipe which only requires a simple double boiler on the stove.
You'll need to start with fresh organic strawberries, in season by early July. It's best to use the smallest, sweetest berries for this recipe. The sweetness of the berries is enhanced by a hardened layer of white chocolate and a festive coating of blue sprinkles.

Make sure the strawberries are rinsed thoroughly and chilled.
Prepare a double boiler by placing a small sauce pan filled up 1/3 of the way with water on the stove over medium heat. Once the water boils, add a glass bowl slightly larger than the saucepan so that the water will heat the bowl without the bowl submerging into the water. Lower the heat to a simmer and add 1/2 of the white chocolate. Wait 1 minute while it melts and gently use a spoon to stir. Be careful not to over stir. The consistency will be thick, like peanut butter.
Line a plate with wax paper and dip each strawberry into the chocolate, carefully dripping off the access. Carefully place on the lined plate and add sprinkles. Repeat until you have used all the strawberries. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour and serve.
