Shots from Earth Hour 2009
This past Saturday was the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour. Before I went out for a customary Saturday night of debauchery, I unplugged everything in my apartment, minus the essentials like my refrigerator, so I did my part, but what about everyone else?
Countries and people from all over the world took part. Here are some light and dark photos from places like Sweden, Australia, Switzerland and even the Parthenon in the Greece. It’s pretty amazing to see how much of the world took it seriously, quite frankly, its surprising.
Other locations that took part were Great Britain, Norway, New York City, Rio de Janeiro and many more. I should have taken a picture of my dumpy apartment, it especially looks good in the dark when you can’t see how all the crap furniture I found on the side of the road.
