20 Healthy Snacks for Your Kid’s Valentine’s Day Party

When you’re a kid, Valentine’s Day is pretty much all about the candy. And knowing that their little shoebox mailboxes will be filled to bursting with sugary treats, why not bring something a little healthier to class for the accompanying party? Here are 20 simple ideas that will have your kids saying, “I love you(r treats)!”

  1. Heart-shaped fruit pops. Cut heart shapes out of melon, kiwi, pineapple, or any other firm fruits using a cookie cutter and put them on popsicle sticks. You could also do flower shapes for a DIY edible arrangement.
  2. Faux brownie bites. This recipe uses almonds, dates, cocoa powder and honey to make delectable little brownie balls. Flatten the dough and use a cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes.
  3. I thought these Valentine’s Day Love Bugs were just too cute for words!
  4. Clear plastic cups and a couple of these heart milk cubes will make plain milk a festive treat.
  5. These Valentine’s fruit stickers turn plain old bananas and apples into cute Valentines. (Buy these or make your own!)
