Break a Summer Sweat with a Yogurt Popsicle Recipe

Oof. The summer heat is really starting to kick in. Staying cool is kind of a constant struggle. Open windows can only do so much and running an air conditioner at full blast all hours of the day isn’t exactly economical or best for the environment. So, that’s where cooling foods and drinks come in, and boy – can they be saviors on hot days. But one can only take so much gazpacho. We’ve got a yogurt popsicle recipe to remedy summer’s hottest days.

This frozen yogurt popsicle recipe is simple to make and can be changed up with ease (add different types of frozen fruits to it, such as raspberries).

Now, before you start popping away to cool town, make sure you’re using BPA-Free popsicle molds like:

Resources

Chopping board
Knife
Food processor or blender
Spatula
Paper cups or plastic molds
Wooden popsicle sticks

Ingredients

2 small ripe organic bananas
1 cup frozen organic strawberries or frozen organic blueberries
2 cups fat-free natural yogurt
2 tbsp runny honey (use local if you can)

Directions

Peel and slice the organic banana and put it into a food processor, or blender with the frozen, organic berries, yogurt and honey. Blend everything together on a low setting until the mixture is very smooth. Divide the mixture between six paper cups or molds. Each pour should be 4 ounces. Place the pops in the freezer for 10 minutes. After the time has passed, gently poke a stick into each slot. Place the pops back in freezer for at least three hours, or until solid.
