Adrien Brody Ate Bugs in the Forest

Sounds like Adrien Brody flew over the cuckoo’s nest. To prepare for his new movie, The Pianist star took to eating bugs in the Canadian wilderness. Come on now! What’s he doing? Adrien is a good looking actor, not a troll from Mordor. The dude needs psychotropic medication not ticks and jiggers.
In Wrecked, coming out next year, Adrien plays a man trapped in a car wreck at the bottom of a ravine who struggles to survive. I’m assuming that means eating some nasty things, because to get in touch with his character Adrien spent a freezing night outdoors in the Canadian wilderness eating wild berries and bugs.
No word if the movie studio dispatched the men in the white coats to capture Adrien and lock him up in the loony bin.
Adrien pulled his wilderness stunt while still recovering from a stomach illness he contracted in India. But Adrien said it actually helped him.
“The sickness kind of knocked me down and weakened me, but I still decided to spend a night in the woods, eating insects in February in Canada,” Adrien told The Express, “As unpleasant as that transition was, it helped me make the shift as quickly as possible.”
Yeah, he’s off his rocker. Adrien should play it safe and do the normal Hollywood stuff. Go try Kabbalah, scientology, or get caught coming out of a limo with his private parts showing. You know, the usual.
In other celebrity food news, Woody Harrelson and Sting want endangered blue fin tuna off sushi menus. And Nicole Kidman, Ben Affleck, and Gwyneth Paltrow are all on the organic food bandwagon.
