Celeb Favorite Ferrari Trento Bridges the Gap Between Luxury and Sustainable Wine

What do the Emmy Awards, Ferrari Trento sparkling wine, biodiversity, bees, and sustainability have in common? Everything. This year, you couldn’t have one without the other.
The Official Sparkling Wine of the 69th Emmy® Awards season, Ferrari Trento is quite literally the toast of Italy and the preferred sparkling wine on red carpets from Hollywood to the Venice Film Festival. It’s also the most awarded sparkling wine in Italy, recently crowned with eleven gold medals at the Champagne and Sparkling World Championships in 2017.

Of course, that’s an extensive list of awards. And its list of award-winning celebrity connoisseurs is impressive as well. Yet, what truly impresses us is Ferrari Trento’s commitment to eradicating the gap between luxury brands and sustainability.
Focusing on the Italian Art of Living, Ferrari Trento’s sparkling wines are an international stylish icon that sing out of the glass. Yet, never at the cost of the environment. The estate vineyards are certified organic and the luxury brand is a champion in preserving biodiversity and sustainable agriculture in the Trento Doc wine region.

Matteo Lunelli, CEO and Vice President of Ferrari Trento explains: “We’re committed to putting natural soil fertility, environmental protection, biodiversity, and fair working conditions back into the heart of farming practices.” Which is hugely important as Ferrari Trento produces over 4 million bottles of sparkling wine per year.
A leader in sustainable viticulture and a certified Biodiversity Friend (BF), Trento Ferrari uses colonies of bees to pollinate the diverse plants and “green manure” cover crops planted between rows of grapes to create the healthiest of soil for optimal grape production. Lunelli asserts that organic, sustainable, and biodiverse growing practices add to the elegance and taste of his sparkling wines. He’s also paving the way for Italian grape growers to follow suit, becoming sustainable to produce fine Italian wine both now and in the future.

Lunelli adds that the organic certification awarded to his family’s vineyards in Trentino “represents an important achievement with a cascade of positive effects on the whole production chain. In terms of corporate social responsibility, it strengthens, even more, our commitment to the areas where we operate.”
The luxury market has responded in spades to Ferrari Trento’s commitment to organic, sustainable, and biodiverse farming practices. Over 30,000 glasses of Ferrari Trento were poured at the eco-friendly Emmy’s Governors Ball and associated after-party events described by The Hollywood Reporter as “a confluence of elegance and sustainability”.
So, raise your glass of award-winning bubbly and toast Ferrari Trento, leading the way for the worlds of luxury and sustainability to collide and become synonymous.
