How Buddhists Recycle…

That’s what comes to mind when I think Buddhism, a jolly fat guy. Not recycling! But apparently Buddhists are WAY into recycling.
Thai monks from Sisaket, 400 miles northeast of Bangkok, constructed an entire TEMPLE out of green and brown beer bottles. 1 MILLION to be exact!
Check it out, via Greenupgrader:
Local citizens dropped off building materials and the monks did the work. Now everything, from the TOILETS to the crematorium, is made from bottles.
The glass bottles BEAUTIFULLY reflect the Thai sunshine and monks hope the temple will serve as a visual reminder for pollution awareness.
So cool! It’s WAY better than the shed made out of plastic bottles.
