Top 100 Tastemakers in the U.S.

Take Part, the people that brought us the successfully documentary Food, Inc., have launched a new campaign called Tastemakers, aimed at spotlighting companies across the country committed to providing “Food Done Right.”

The acclaimed journalists of Take Part took it upon themselves to find 100 small food producers in ten cities across the country committed to the principles they—and we—admire: local, sustainable, organic, humane and unprocessed. The shops had to be exceptional in other ways, as well, by being colorful, beautiful and unique.

You can access the full list of 100 shops in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, Portland, Boston, San Francisco and the Twin Cities on the Take Part website. But, if you don’t happen to live in one of these locales, you can still enjoy some of these products by ordering online. (And here’s hoping they’ll continue the mission with more cities in the future!)
