6 Allergy-Free Smoothie Recipes Kids (and Adults!) Will Totally Love
I hope you love these six kid-friendly allergy-free smoothie recipes as much as our family does. They are all free of the eight most common food allergens: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy and wheat.
My girls love smoothies. But with a Paleo mama and a dairy-allergic kid, we have to be a little picky about our ingredients these days. We almost exclusively use coconut milk as our smoothie base, but you can mix up the bases and ingredients in these smoothie recipes to your preference. Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 cup coconut milk
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1/2 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup ice cubes

Blend all ingredients with a regular or immersion blender. It’s like a Frosty, but you know, not filled with ick.
3. Banana Berry
Serves 2
Ingredients
2 cups coconut milk
1 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 avocado
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1/2 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

My girls love avocado, but if your kids aren’t fans, never fear. The primary taste in this treat is of bananas and chocolate. Be sure to use pure, dairy-free cocoa or cacao powder (not cocoa mix with powdered milk and sugar added).
5. Orange Julicious
Coconut milk, mandarin oranges, orange juice, plus super healthy gelatin, honey and vanilla make an amazing mock Orange Julius smoothie.
6. Shamrock
Oh yeah, you don’t need to hit up that fast food chain for a delicious green shake. Try this healthy version made with avocado and coconut milk.
