Elderflowers have a long history of medicinal uses. Valued for their potent antiviral and immune-boosting properties, elderflowers (and berries) have been effectively used to treat colds, flus and allergies, for centuries. Elderflowers also lend themselves incredibly well to the spirit world. With a sweet and mild flavor, elderflower liquor tastes fresh, flowery and, a bit magical. This simple elderflower spritzer recipe is the perfect way to cool down and kick back, taking in the last few summer days with slow sips. Wow your guests with this recipe; it’s the perfect drink for a garden party! Light and elegant, this drink is a total breeze to make, too.

Ingredients

Method

In a tall clear glass, pour 1 oz of Elderflower liquor and seltzer over ice cubes and serve.

For the greenest version make your own seltzer (it is better for the environment and only costs 17 cents a liter!). Serve over flower-filled ice cubes with organic orchids, nasturtiums, pansies, or snapdragons inside. Garnish with fresh lavender or flowers.
