To accompany another of today’s articles – Eat Breakfast Already: The Guide – and to really drive the point home, we devoted this Meatless Monday Roundup to the meals that make up your morning… hopefully. With all these delicious options, you’ll be hard pressed to skip b-fast ever again… hopefully. 

What healthy breakfast roundup would be complete without a green beverage of sorts? For all it’s healthy accolades, green juices aren’t always as delicious as you would like them to be (or even need them to be!), but over at Pursuit of Hippieness, they’ve unveiled a Snickerdoodle Green Smoothie that I am personally telling you is an awesome way to kick off the day. 

Over at Sunday Morning Banana Pancakes, they’re getting fancy. Make your own granola with this recipe for Cherry Pecan Maple Granola, and you’ll never have an excuse to run out the door without a handful. 

For those of you who would like something a bit more substantial in the am – in fact, this is great for any time of day – Running with Tweezers gives you all the protein you’ll need with their recipe for Black Quinoa Salad with Cherries, Pistachios and Cress. 

I, for one, like my breakfast sweet and pastry-like, but still healthy. Meet the Carrot Cake Cookie in Breakfast Form that pairs perfectly with whatever warm beverage accompanies your morning. It’s a truly yummy foot to start the day off on.
