About Laura Klein, Chef & Wellness Expert

Laura Klein is a trained chef with roots in the organic food movement and brings intelligence, intoxicating energy and girl-next-door approachability to the subject. She's also the founder of Organic Authority, Inc a new media company that publishes OrganicAuthority.com. Laura has written for Huffington Post, been featured in The Oprah Magazine, The Food Network, Women’s World, Malibu Times, Organic It’s Worth It and more. She is featured in the book Hot, Rich, and Green, and blogs for the Huffington Post. Laura started her career in food working in restaurants where she developed a passion for real seasonal eats. She later went on to assist at her local culinary school where she eventually enrolled in the professional and baking program. She hosted several local culinary television shows, and has led many cooking demos for organizations like Whole Foods Market and more. Her favorite farmers markets are the Wednesday and Saturday Santa Monica markets where she gets inspo for her next seasonal recipe and can chat with local farmers and chefs. Laura is passionate about using digital media to help get real food on America’s tables and solve our nation’s health crisis. She firmly believes that human and environmental health are intertwined, they are not separate issues. In her down time she loves spending time with her husband, and her 90 pound Belgian Malinois, Pit Bull mix dog Olive Rose, cooking, Yoga, skiing and mountain biking the rugged Rocky Mountains of her home state of Colorado and the High Sierras of California. One of the highlights of her life has been helicopter skiing in the Buggaboo mountains of Canada. You can find Laura on Instagram posting about her dog Olive Rose or her next outdoor adventure.
