Celebrate America’s Farmers with a Live Cooking Demo!

What would our Organic Authority Earth Day celebration be without a feast? Join Organic Authority’s publisher and editor-in-chief, chef Laura Klein, along with local Whole Foods Market forager, Kimberly Albright, for a free, live and interactive cooking demo featuring the very best in seasonal eats. Our cooking demo will take place on Saturday, April 28th at 12 pm PST / 3 pm EST, and last about an hour (give or take!). We’ll be broadcasting live from our USTREAM channel so you’ll be able to watch, cook along with us as we prepare a delicious, healthy dish and ask your burning foodie questions to Laura and Kimberly.

Broadcasting LIVE from our USTREAM channel (http://www.ustream.tv/user/OrganicAuthority), we’ll be cooking up a delicious and healthy Earth Day recipe: Mushroom Asparagus Barley Risotto with Gouda Goat Cheese (yum!). We’ll be honoring our farmers and the mouth-watering fresh fruits and veggies they grow with such care every season. You’ll definitely want to check out Laura and Kimberly’s cooking tips that are so important in developing a sense of how to prepare healthy, yummy and easy dishes that can be adapted to seasonal ingredients.

Because of USTREAM’s chat capabilities, you’ll be able to ask us anything you like! We will have our very own Spencer Kent moderating the questions during the entire session to get everyone’s questions or comments addressed. Ask us your burning foodie questions about the dish, sustainable food, organic living, foraging, cooking tips… anything!

The recipe and list of ingredients is sponsored by Whole Foods Market, whose very own forager Kimberly Albright will be joining us as our special guest during the demo. This should give you enough time to grocery shop and get what you need for Saturday’s cooking lesson, so you can follow along with the fun. This event is 100% FREE, so bring the whole family, join us and make an afternoon of it! Perhaps even the kids will get inspired to cook Saturday night dinner or plant some veggies to harvest this summer. We can’t wait to see you all there! If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line. Just email us, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
