Endangered Species You Don’t Hear About…
That cute little kitty is a fishing cat, a leopard-like feline whose home range includes Indochina, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sumatra and Java, but still, these guys are in trouble, destruction of habitat and over hunting threaten their survival.
And they’re only one of many animals that you’ve never heard of facing extinction.
The rugged American crocodile is also losing ground due to urban development, wise old Galapagos giant tortoises are being killed off by human-introduce feral dogs and cats, and the fascinating leaf-tailed gecko is suffering from habitat degradation. We’ve got to act fast!
