Gordon Ramsay Set to Launch ‘Masterchef’ This Summer
Ok I admit it, I am a Gordon Ramsay junkie. I love his shows. I record and watch all of them on my DVR. I watch Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Kitchen Nightmares, The F Word, and occasionally Hell’s Kitchen. In fact I even was a diner at Hell’s Kitchen. I love his food philosophy – keep it simple, local and fresh. That is my mantra! And of course you must make it organic.
He is launching yet a fifth show on Fox network this summer, Masterchef. Aspiring foodies and chefs will be given the opportunity to be transformed into a culinary master with the help of Ramsay and the two other judges. Ramsay’s new show is like Simon Cowell’s X Factor for chefs. X Factor is the U.S. version of his Cowell’s British reality-competition show. Masterchef launches, Thursday, July 29 at 9pm on Fox.
This will definitely be at the top of my list of summer shows to watch. I can’t wait to see how many of the aspiring chefs can actually cook with fresh ingredients, and how many will actually use sustainably raised, organic food. If you’ve watched any of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares shows, you know there are a lot of chefs out there cooking with frozen, prepackaged ingredients that are defrosted and cooked in the microwave. Yuck! Frankly I don’t know how you call yourself a chef cooking that way. And I would venture to say Ramsay wouldn’t either.
