When Beyoncé revealed she was switching to a vegan diet in preparation for her Coachella performances, the world went crazy (as it often does when Bey does anything). Now details are emerging about how exactly the star went plant-based.

According to MSN, Beyoncé adopted a vegan diet through 22 Days Nutrition, a plant-based lifestyle company founded by her trainer, Marco Borges. The “All Night” singer had previously worked with the meal delivery service, along with her husband, Jay-Z, for a 22 Days Vegan Challenge back in 2013.

The results obviously made an impact (check out her Coachella bod for proof) because now Beyoncé and Jay-Z are partnering with the company to launch Meal Planner, an online service offering people plant-based recipes, tips, and same-day ingredient delivery.

“We want to challenge you as we challenge ourselves to move towards a more plant-based lifestyle and acknowledge you for standing up for your health and the health of the planet,” the couple said in a statement on the website.

The service is customized based on your cooking habits, dietary needs, allergies, household size, and goals. Then, with thousands of vegan recipes literally at your fingertips, you’re able to choose your favorite plant-based meals. You’re then given a shopping list which you can choose to shop for yourself or opt for the delivery option (a la Bey and Jay).

The app and service proves that switching to a plant-based diet doesn’t have to be difficult or reserved for one-name celebrities.

Eating vegan, whether it’s part-time like Meghan Markle, or full-time like Kate Mara, makes a difference for both your own personal health and the health of the planet. Not only is a plant-based diet rich in essential nutrients, minerals, and fiber, but it’s also been known to both reduce obesity by half and reduce the risk of heart failure, among its many benefits.

With Bey leading the charge in adopting a more vegan lifestyle, we’re not surprised if her 112 million fans follow in ‘Formation’.
