Keep These Natural Beauty Products at Your Desk to Turn Your Office Into a Day Spa

Although work can sometimes be unpleasant—don’t get us started on the abrasive over-head lighting and limited green space—there are beauty products that can make daily grind more bearable.
I reached out to a handful of natural beauty brands and received a plethora of refreshing products guaranteed to make anyone’s work day more luxurious.
When you get to the office
Although we all try to arrive at the office looking fresh and beautiful, some days, it’s just not possible. Thankfully, on busy days when you’re slammed, you can trust that the following items will wake your senses, and amp your sleepy appearance.

First, cleanse. Take a trip to the bathroom and wash the grime of the morning from your face with Blu Skin Care’s Oat Flax Facial Cleanser. This product is dry; simply add a bit of the fine powder to some cool water, apply to skin, and rinse. Although I’m used to liquid products, I really enjoyed this powder’s consistency; it helped exfoliate and cleanse my skin at the same time. This facial cleanser also is USDA certified organic, non-GMO, and contains minimal, all-natural ingredients. Priced at $25.

After cleansing, apply a small (2-3 drops) amount of Odacite’s Clair De Lune Radiance Serum onto your face. A little goes a long way with this rich product, but even a small amount will leave your skin glowing. The serum’s contents—vitamin A, C, and E, wild carrot seed oil, peach oil, and green tea—help refresh your skin’s appearance while balancing its sebum. The serum also is vegan, cruelty-free, and free of parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, and fragrance. Priced at $55.

If your eyes are looking especially tired, consider adding Juice Beauty’s Anti-Wrinkle Eye Treatment to the mix. The treatment contains a handful of organic ingredients, such as malic acid via organic apple juice, resveratrol via organic grape juice, and jojoba oil. The treatment provides intense hydration and can help reduce the under-eye dark circles we all have in the morning. Priced at $50.
Makeup break

Once you hit a morning lull, consider applying whatever you consider essential makeup. For me, that’s lipstick or balm. Something like Juice Beauty’s Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon works well because of its silky smooth formula. The crayon is made with organic ingredients, colored with plant-derived pigments, and features moisturizing cold-pressed oils. Price at $22 in various hues.

If you prefer a balm consistency, give Root’s Pretty Balms a try. They come in various sheer colors, are ultra-moisturizing, vegan, and 100 percent natural. Priced at $8 in various hues.

After applying your makeup, consider finishing the process with Juice Beauty’s Hydrating Mist. The mist contains refreshing ingredients, such as rosehip, ylang ylang, grapeseed oil, and botanical juices. In addition to its refreshing qualities, the mist also can help set makeup, and has a light, pleasant smell. Priced at $25.
Lunch
Sometimes I like to take a “spa” lunch. And by that, I mean I place various luxurious treatments on my face, in my hair, etc. while I dine.

One product that works great as a lunchtime treatment is Juice Beauty’s Stem Cellular Instant Eye Lift Algae Mask. This amazing mask works in 10 minutes—far before you’ll finish your lunch—and provides immediate results you can admire during the rest of the workday. Priced at $10 for one mask set.

And if your hair tends to get frizzy during the day, consider treating it while you eat with Ranavat’s Mighty Majesty Hair and Body Serum. To keep strands healthy and tame, apply a few drops to your hair when it’s feeling frizzy. The product is USDA certified organic (it contains certified organic sunflower oil, jasmine oil, and amla extract), and cruelty-free. Priced at $55.
Mid-day slump

Let’s face it—3 p.m. is the worst. You’re tired, grumpy, and unfortunately, your skin can feel your foul mood. To pick up your spirits—and perk up your skin—consider applying a little bit of Kerstin Florian’s Calm Mind Aromatherapy oil to your temples and palms. The oil is paraben-free, and features a blend of lavender, peppermint, and cajeput essential oils. The combination can help diminish stress and allow you to finish the day with ease. Priced at $35.

Next, apply Root’s Peppermint Moisture Whip to your hands, arms, and legs. The vegan, deep-conditioning moisturizer features a blend of organic aloe, organic chamomile, organic calendula, shea butter, and essential peppermint oil. Priced at $24.

Finish your refresh-sesh with a bit of Love Hair’s coconut oil. Just dab a small amount of the brand’s 100 percent raw, organic oil on your lips as a moisturizing gloss, or strategically on your face as a quick highlighting solution. Priced at $28.
