4 Bark-Worthy Natural Dog Snacks

Dog lovers are a dedicated lot. We tend to treat our pups with the utmost care and spare no expense when it comes to our furry friends’ health and happiness. So, what’s the next step in showing your undying love for your dog? Making your dog a fresh batch of all-natural treats! And if you’re thinking to yourself, “Geez, I don’t even make myself homemade treats because it’s too time consuming,” stop. These treats are simple to make. Any one of the following dog treats is sure to get a woof-worthy response from your four-legged friend.

Substitute almost any fruit or vegetable in this dog-treat recipe. To make this all-natural recipe vegan, just mix the dough longer and don’t add egg.

*Ingredients
2½ cups flour
¾ cup dry milk powder
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 vegetable bouillon cubes, dissolved in ¾ cup boiling water
½ cup carrots, green beans, apples, or blueberries
1 egg (optional)
*use organic ingredients whenever possible.

Directions
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, and form the mixture into a ball. Roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thick on a flour-dusted cutting board. Cut dough with any shape of cookie cutter. Dehydrate at the highest setting—145 to 155 degrees—until done. This will take approximately 6 to 8 hours. Add time as necessary to make certain the treats are very dry.

Ingredients
32 ounces vanilla yogurt
1 cup peanut butter

Directions
Melt peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Combine yogurt and melted peanut butter, pour the mixture into cupcake papers, and place in freezer.
