Decadent Raw Chocolate Mousse Recipe with Seasonal Berries

I served this chocolate mousse recipe at a recent dinner party and it was a hit. Rich, decadent and creamy while at the same time raw, gluten-free and simple to make, you can amp up the elegant factor by serving in martini glasses garnished with seasonal berries.
Adding avocado to recipes is a great way to add creaminess without the cream. The raw cacao powder can be expensive, but it’s much less processed than regular unsweetened cocoa powder and it’s loaded with antioxidants, particularly flavonoids, a type of antioxidant compound that slows aging and free radical damage overtime. And a little goes a long way.

Serves 2
Method
1. Cut a ripe avocado in half. Use a big knife to grab the pit and turn to remove. Spoon out the avocado meat into a blender.
2. Add in cacao powder, honey, and vanilla extract and blend for 1 to 2 minutes in a food processor.
3. Refrigerate overnight. Garnish with berries and a sprig of mint and serve in a martini glass. Your guests will be shocked that the main ingredient is actually avocado.
