Kid-Approved Homemade Granola Bar Recipe

With the kids out of school and around the house during the summer months, it is a good idea to keep healthy snacks around, such as homemade granola bars. Not only will your kids love them, but you can switch up the add-ins from week to week to keep their attention and prevent them from turning to junk food for their hunger fix. Try this quick, easy, and healthy homemade granola bar recipe that will please the whole family, including the kids.

These homemade granola bars are a healthier snack than store-bought brands, mainly because they are free of any additives or sweeteners that override the benefits offered by fiber-rich oats, the healthy fats of nuts and seeds, and the antioxidants and nutrients from dried fruit. Coconut palm sugar has a low-glycemic index, so it doesn’t send blood-sugar levels soaring. The cinnamon, vanilla extract, and almond extract lend a lovely aroma and flavor. Enjoy all summer long!
