Cooking with Organic Authority: Live and Interactive!
We are finally doing it. After seeing how many of you were interested in participating in a virtual cooking lesson with Organic Authority, we have finally put one together! Our first lesson is scheduled for Saturday, November 12th at 12 pm PST/3 pm EST. It’s live. It’s interactive. And it is 100% FREE!
How does it work?
Utilizing the webcam chat capabilities of Google+ Hangouts, we will be cooking a delicious holiday dish while answering your top cooking questions! Because of the limitations of Google’s platform, only 9 lucky people will be able to chat and cook with us via webcam. The benefit of scoring a webcam spot with us on Google+ Hangouts is that we’ll be able to see and talk to you while you cook your dish! You’ll be able to visually compare your dish with us and your 8 fellow chefs, just like a virtual classroom! The rules are first come, first serve.
However, so that an unlimited amount of people may participate in this event, we will also be streaming the video on Ustream. Both platforms incorporate chat, so while we won’t be able to see you, each and every one of you participating will be able to interact with us and ask questions throughout the lesson!
Once you are completely prepared (see below), all you’ll have to do is set up your computer in your kitchen, and you’ll be ready to roll!
How to Prepare
Your first step is to sign up for our newsletter here. We will reveal the recipe and ingredient list on Thursday, November 3rd exclusively to our newsletter subscribers.UPDATE: We have revealed the recipe and ingredients! We will be cooking our Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Sage! You can print out the ingredient list and get a first look at the recipe now. This gives you enough time to grocery shop and get what you need for Saturday’s cooking lesson so you can cook along and ask questions!
Second, follow Laura’s circle on Google+. This is the place where you will get a chance to be one of 9 lucky webcam participants, as well as access to exclusive Google+ content. Don’t Have Webcam or Not on Google+?
If you don’t have a webcam, no biggie. Just watch and chat with us for free on Ustream! We want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to cook a delicious dish for the holidays! If you don’t have an account, it takes about 2 minutes to sign up for a free one right here.
