3 Coffee Recipes That Will Really Shake Up Your Morning Cuppa
I get it — your morning coffee is a sacred ritual. It has a rhythm and a rhyme to it and is something you want just the way you want it, regardless of how simple–even if it’s enjoyed black, on the run and in a plastic cup. For many, the good ol’ morning joe complements a specific part of the day and few veer from what they’ve come to sip on regularly. However, there are others who could do with a revamp to their caffeine fix. The following coffee recipes are simple, homemade variations of traditional coffee that manage to stay as slimming as they are delicious. Enjoy!
1. Spiced Honey Coffee
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3-4 dashes ground cinnamon
- 1 dash ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until evenly combined. Once warm, remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour into coffee mugs. Enjoy!
2. Coconut Cream Coffee
Serves 2
Ingredients
- 2 cups brewed coffee
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 2-4 drops/packets stevia
Directions
In a small saucepan over low heat, add the coconut milk and brewed coffee. Mix until heated to taste and pour into mugs. Sweeten each with stevia and stir before drinking.
3. On-the-Go Mexican Coffee
