The dry skin that naturally accompanies winter often hits feet first, bringing about flaky skin, bunions, corns and callouses. The more you let dry skin take its toll on your feet, the harder it will be to break out beautiful tootsies come springtime.
But spring and summer are far from the only reason you should be taking care of your feet. DIY Homemade Foot Scrub Recipe
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup sugar
2-3 drops lavender essential oil
Combine ingredients in a resealable jar. Use the scrub on your feet before a bath or shower, taking special care to work it into your heels, the ball of your foot, and any other areas that may become dry. Allow to sit for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. You can also use this scrub on other dry patches of skin, like knees or elbows. Try to make the scrub just before using it so that the sugar doesn't dissolve.
