Homemade Face Wash for Your Skin Type
Cleansing is as vital to skincare as strawberries are to summer (can’t wait!). Consider the pollutants, dust, oil, dirt and particles our gorgeous skin is blitzed with on the daily… need we say more? In addition to cleaning, cleansers exfoliate the skin surface to promote circulation and skin renewal. But we have to be careful not to use harsh chemiclas that will strip the face of its natural oils and protective layer and actually promote aging. A homemade facial cleanser made from a few organic ingredients that are tailored to your skin type will get glowing skin in the bag… for decades to come.

For Dry Skin
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon oat or rice bran
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cream
Instructions:
Heat your ingredients gently on your stovetop, stirring until well blended. Then, be sure to use your cleanser while it’s still warm.
For Sensitive Skin
Ingredients:
1 part baking soda
2 parts ground oatmeal
Instructions:
You can ground your oatmeal in a food processor or with a mortar and pestle. Then, mix it with the baking soda and store in a sealed container. Whenever you want to wash your face, mix 1/2 tsp of the dry mixture with warm water. Rub gently onto skin in circular motions, rinse off and pat dry.
