12 Bee-Friendly Plants for an Awesome Herb Garden

Worried about the plight of the honeybees? You can help bees and other pollinators (and yourself) by planting herbs and flowers that are not only useful for you, but helpful for pollinators. Do your part by planting these 12 herbs to create your bee-friendly herb garden.
1. Borage: This herb fills with nectar every two minutes. Meaning bees can sip from borage practically all day long.
2. Lavender: An amazing ground cover and useful in your home for so many reasons, you can plant different varieties of lavender for year-long growth.
3. Mint: Mint in a bee garden may help deter wax moths from beehives.
4. Comfrey: This herb refills with nectar every 45 minutes.
5. Hyssop: Hyssop not only attracts bees, but also butterflies!
6.Lemon Balm: Another excellent spring ground cover, lemon balm can help settle bees in a new hive. You can also rub it on your hands to prevent bee stings.
7. Sage: Most of the sage family of herbs attracts bees.
8. Rosemary: This herb grows early in the season, making it a great early food source for bees.
9. Thyme: The fragrance of thyme is attractive to bees and butterflies.
10. Angelica: It’s not only beautiful when it flowers, but bees and butterflies also love it.
11. Myrtle: Place this shrub in your bee garden for a little height variety. It’s attractive to bees and other pollinators.
12. Catmint/Nepeta: While it’s known for being attractive to cats, catmint also attracts bees.
