Pesticide-resistant rootworms that have recently become a problem for Midwest farms growing Monsanto’s genetically modified corn are now showing tolerance to Syngenta’s GMO corn and chemicals as well, cites new research.

EPA Acknowledges Roundup Resistant Pests; Monsanto Denies

The Environmental Protection Agency now says there is “mounting evidence” that Monsanto’s genetically modified corn is losing its ability to resist insect infestations such as the Western rootworm, despite increased applications of pesticides.
